Challenge

Avia wanted to refresh their branding to reflect their repositioning as a more innovative and technology-driven media production company. As AI and new production technologies began reshaping the industry, they moved quickly to evolve both their strategy and market positioning, focusing on faster, more flexible, and future-facing creative production.

The brief was to retain key elements of the existing identity, including the logo, typography and accent color, while giving me broad creative freedom to redefine the overall visual direction.

Process

The concept positions Avia as a creative and technological connector, a partner involved throughout the entire process, from early concepts and strategy to production, delivery, and distribution.

To reflect this, I developed a modular visual system built from geometric forms arranged in a step-like progression, symbolizing movement through each phase of the creative pipeline. Where these elements meet, a distinct star shape emerges, representing transformation, collaboration, and the intersection between creativity and technology.

The star itself was also inspired by contemporary AI visual language, which Avia wanted to reference without relying too heavily on overt "AI aesthetics."

The modular approach allowed for the creation of flexible graphic symbols and patterns that could extend naturally across digital surfaces, motion, and web applications.

Result

The final delivery included brand guidelines, custom icons, graphic assets, and a modular visual system designed to be continuously expanded over time.

In addition to creating a library of core gradients and visual elements, I developed a structured workflow for generating new assets within the same visual language. This included prompts, principles, and instructions for creating gradients and imagery that matched the established art direction, giving the team the ability to evolve the identity internally as the brand grows and new applications emerge.
